200W / 400W DC Flickerless Ballast

A compact dual output, 200W / 400W Flickerless DC Ballast, designed to power high intensity daylight discharge lamps.



Designed to operate from a low impedance DC power source - like a NiCd or NiMH battery, this highly unique and advanced DC Ballast can operate reliably from anywhere between 22-36 Volts DC. It is also suitable for a wide range of lampheads available on the market.

The front panel is clearly presented with indicators for DC Power, and Lamp Type. A Lamp Ready indicator will show when the lamp has reached colour temperature. Ballast output power is dimmable by up to 40% in each power range. Two soft touch switches offer a convenient lamp On/Off control, ideal for remotely mounted lampheads.

Power is supplied to the Ballast via a removable cable to the front panel that can be fitted with your choice of power connector. The ballast can be used free standing, or an optional Click-Lock docking accessory can be fitted to permit easy fitting to a battery, battery belt or lamp stand if required.

Primary cooling is achieved with an ultra quiet fan utilising true proportional control using thermal feedback to ensure long fan life and minimum noise. Secondary cooling is achieved via the Ballast housing, extruded in aluminium, which can be anodised in a range of colours.

For your safety the unit has been designed, constructed, and tested to stringent European CE and American UL Safety and EMC Standards. Custom versions of this Ballast are available on request.
